ABOUT
My passion for photography began as a teenager. As an author photographer, I am drawn to images in all possible forms. I previously pursued a career in the field of communications and advertising, both in France and abroad - most notably in Morocco and French Polynesia. Nowadays I devote my time to photography on a daily basis.
I am a keen traveler and my camera acts as an extension of my gaze. I capture my subjects with a mix of discretion, amusement and occasionally tenderness. Composition and geometry are paramount to my work, and I apply them to architectural and minimal urban contexts, as well as to scenes including the human figure. While I tend to declutter my pictures, I also enjoy deconstructing landscapes through fragments, to play with the lines and colors that compose them.
I am particularly fascinated by the United States, having traveled there many times in a quest to discover old forgotten motels along the Route 66, abandonned gasoline stations or rusty signs in faded colors, that seem to have been frozen in time. I like to document this American dream with an aesthetic style, which I have developed over time and drawn from history of art - a subject I also study at the Ecole du Louvre.
